Long-sleeve Tee

The simple tee! What’s not to love about a versatile t-shirt top? This super quick make can be a long sleeved tee, a sweatshirt or simple drop-shoulder top in a woven fabric and everything in between. 

If you are new to the overlocker this is the perfect introduction to making a fun garment in your own stretch fabric. If you prefer, you can make this top in stretch fabric entirely on the sewing machine — Liz will share tips for achieving neat results you can repeat at home. 

You will definitely want to make this again and again.

The workshop includes your own copy of the Long-Sleeve Tee pattern (retails at £17.99). Best of all, you can try on the sample garments before you select your pattern size: no more guesswork and hoping it will fit.

Suitable fabrics include lightweight jerseys and knits, in cotton, bamboo, polyester or viscose. Ponte Roma, French terry and fleece fabrics are also suitable for a more substantial weight top.

The pattern has an adaptation for woven fabrics — to include chambray, poplin, seersucker, linen and lightweight blends.
